Tacala’s journey began in 1989, when founders Dick Reese and Don Ghareeb opened our very first Taco Bell in Columbiana, Alabama. Over the past 30+ years, we’ve grown more than threefold, now operating over 380 locations across the Southeast and Texas! With the support of Altamont Capital Partners since 2012, our growth has been unstoppable. In recognition of his lasting impact on our company and culture, Don Ghareeb was named Chairman Emeritus. 

Even after three decades and hundreds of restaurants, our focus hasn’t changed: serve our customers, support our teams, and give back to our communities—with kindness at the heart of everything we do.
