This year the Taco Bell Foundation is awarding $7 million in Community Grants to support over 400 youth-serving nonprofit organizations across the country, and 38 of those organizations are in our Tacala communities!
“We are proud that the work we do through our Community Grants program connects young people with the resources and opportunities they need to learn and drive change,” said Jennifer Bradbury, Executive Director of the Taco Bell Foundation.
Tacala and Taco Bell focus on giving back to teens, because they are our customers, our employees, and our future leaders. Together, Tacala and the Taco Bell Foundation are working to break down barriers to educate and inspire the next generation of leaders and fuel every young person’s boldest ambitions. We are focused on investing in the potential of America’s youth through education programs and partnerships to help them achieve their career goals and educational aspirations. We believe all young people deserve the chance to follow their dreams and turn their life’s passion, into their life’s work, regardless of the obstacles they may face in life—especially at a time when supporting access to education is critical. These Community Grants are our “boots on the ground” effort to fund nonprofit organizations who are working directly with teens in our local communities to support youth education and explore career passions.
“It’s a privilege to partner with the Taco Bell Foundation in educating and inspiring young people nationwide,” said Marjorie Perlman, Chief Marketing Officer of Tacala Companies. “Together, we are working to break down barriers to education for our future leaders.”
These community grants are made possible thanks to the commitment hard work from our restaurant teams and the generosity of our customers, who donated in our Round Up fundraisers at each of our Taco Bell restaurants! This year we increased our fundraising efforts to a year-round Round Up program with a current total of $1.8M raised, so we anticipate next year’s community grants to be even bigger!
