BIRMINGHAM, AL 7/29/2011 – The Taco Bell Truck, a mobile Taco Bell that drives around the country handing out free tacos at events, is visiting Alabama for the first time. The Taco Bell Truck, owned by Taco Bell Corp. and stationed in Southern California, is on a summer tour and will make appearances at three events in the Birmingham market between August 3rd and 6th.

On Wednesday, August 3rd, the Taco Bell Truck will be in Hueytown to feed Taco Bell Crunchy Tacos to members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama participating in the club’s sports’ tournament. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama is a long-time partner of Taco Bell and the recipient of grants totaling $60,000 over the past nine years.

The Taco Bell Truck will appear next at Regions Park Stadium at the August 5th Birmingham Barons game as part of Taco Bell Weekend at the Park. Barons’ fans will be treated to a free Taco Bell Crunchy Taco following the first game of the home stand against the Jackson Generals.

The final appearance in Alabama will be on Saturday, August 6th at the Woodstock 5k at Anniston High School. There runners and spectators will enjoy Taco Bell Crunchy Tacos and Bean Burritos, a vegetarian option.
