Michael Border

Michael Border joined Tacala as Vice President of Operations in 2008, and became Vice President of Facilities and Development in 2011. As Vice President of Facilities and Development, Michael plays a key role in the strategic planning of Tacala’s growth through reinvestment opportunities, new store development and construction, as well as overseeing the facilities, maintenance and equipment needs of everyday operations.  Michael has more than 25 years of experience with the Taco Bell brand.  Prior to joining Tacala, he worked for Taco Bell Corporation in the position of Region leader.   In this capacity, Michael was responsible for executing the Bold Vision, driving operations excellence through the development of facilities and talent across both company and franchise units. Michael served in a number of roles in his distinguished 20 year career with Taco Bell, including Director of One System Operations, Franchise Business Manager, Sr. XOM, MTM and Director of CHAMPS & Customer Mania, where he played an integral role in writing and developing the CER and Customer Mania processes.

When not at work, Michael loves spending time with his family: wife, Heidi, son, Ryan, and daughter, Katelyn.  His hobbies include golfing, wood-working, spending time at the lake and coaching his son’s sports teams.
